Mike and Linda, two filmmakers from upstate New York, take a hike into the woods in search of Old Man Ledley and get a whole lot more than they bargained for in this spoof of Mike Camoin's documentary "Inside The Blue Line" and the ever-popular Blair Witch Project. A short video packed with enough suspense and laughter to make it memorable.
JOE'S COMMENTS:
This video was conceived at Sbarro's Pizzeria by my friend, Dave Blanchard and I. Every month we would go to the local Upstate Independent's filmmaker meetings to see what our fellow movie cohorts were up to. For almost a year's time, our friend and associate, Mike Camoin, would update everyone on the status of his documentary about a woodman in the Adirondacks named Jack Ledley. His film, titled "Inside The Blue Line," was doing very well, having aired on PBS several times. So Mike made available a cd of music featured in the documentary. These events were enough to inspire our sick, creative minds to play a practical joke on Camoin, while simultaneously shooting another video. It began as a joke..."Wouldn't it be funny if.." - that sort of thing. So I said "Okay, let's do it." "Get out of here!," exclaimed Dave. "No, really! I'll have it cast and shot in four days, then we can go up to Edgewood and edit it," I said. "OK," Dave replied with a laugh. "You wanna make a bet?," I asked. "If you can do it, we'll edit it up there," he said with about as much confidence in me as depending on a pig for milk. I wasn't fooling. I wrote the script in a half hour that night and gathered the three actors by 9 pm. We met at Thatcher Park and hiked into the woods, where we shot the entire film in just under four hours time.
When I called Dave to ask him when we could edit the video, he didn't believe it. "I told you I wasn't kidding!" So he arranged for a couple of after hour editing sessions at Edgewood, where Dave did his magic and I laughed my butt off.

eedless to say, we surprised Mike and the rest of the members of UI who thought it was just a Blair Witch spoof  until halfway through the film when the characters called each other by name. Mike shook our hands with a smile and vowed revenge.
