Albany director Joe Glickman’s forthcoming documentary about oldies group the Classics IV got a happy ending in November, when Glickman helped the band’s original singer, Dennis Yost, reclaim the Classics IV name from a poseur group. By undoing a 20-year-old deal through which the band’s former manager illicitly sold the Classics IV trademark to the imposters, Glickman set a precedent that could help numerous oldies acts caught in similar jams.
