Another Summerfest Success Story

A few lucky locals even had a chance to appear as “extras” when Joe Glickman & The Zippity Doo Wop Band shot a music video featuring a recently released recording - - a new version of Del Shannon’s hit “So Long Baby.” The song was for a tribute album to honor Coopersville’s own Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer. 

“It was exciting to watch,” Richardson said. “We had between 150-200 people witnessing the making of the video. There has been such an interest in purchasing the video, we are working with Mr. Glickman to see if there will be a local “showing” and if the video it will be made available to Coopersville residents.” Watch for more information in future issues of The Observer.
