On Monday, May 12th, 2003, my day was filled with what turned out to be many spiritually-inspiring events that I will never forget. A poem I wrote only weeks before would turn out to be quite prophetic for the events that day would bring. And the day was sealed with a rainbow, like an envelope would be sealed with a kiss. Ever since, I've felt the need to share this experience with everyone that I can. Below you will find my poem and some of the photos I took that day. Despite whatever religion you may believe in, I hope this will encourage you to believe that God is always there, even when you don't think He is.

"LIFE'S A RAINBOW"

A sunny day would have no beauty if not for the clouds and
gloom of rainy days between.

To anticipate the rain and hang on every drop would be to forget
to count the rays of sunshine.

But rain will cleanse and feed the seeds of flowers blooming,
which lack thereof would fail to grow.

And the sun will rise and set again, such shall come the darkness of
night and vanish with it the beauty of flowers.

But roses will sleep in the silence of their beds and embrace
the lack of light, awaking with the freshness of morning dew.

With the sun, shall fall tears from the heavens, and bands
of colors form across the horizon.

And it shall be in a rainbow that all will be harmonious and
the flowers will be content to smile.
